Abstract This project is a bibliographic study whose main areas of interest are psychoanalysis and artificial intelligence, particularly in the field of natural language processing (NLP). Its general objective is to outline possible axes of comparison between these scientific fields, taking as a starting point psychoanalysis and its unique approach to language and scientific inquiry. As a working hypothesis, two research axes are proposed: the Epistemo-Symbolic Axis and the Cybernetic Axis. The specific objectives involve the subdivision of study topics corresponding to each research axis. In terms of methodology, a narrative literature review is proposed to conduct an investigation on Lacanian psychoanalysis, artificial intelligences in their natural language processing aspect, and existing research that has attempted to articulate these fields. As for the analysis of results, it involves cross-referencing information obtained from different bibliographic sources. Thus, drawing on the comparisons between psychoanalysis and cybernetics made by Jacques Lacan in his second seminar and his scientific doctrine, the project seeks to update the relationship between psychoanalysis and technology by focusing on scientific writing and its formalization through language. | |
