Abstract

The complexity of plant genomes will be presented through three studies conducted within the research group. It will be supported by in silico and in vitro experimental approaches. The student will study the nature and distribution of hypothetical genes selected from a transcriptome and analyze their copy number across different plant genomes. Single-copy, low-copy, medium, and highly repetitive genes will be selected. Comparisons between plant species will be made using the PGSGS database. (AU)
