Abstract The standard model of particles and fields (SM) can be considered an experimentally validated theory, an statement that became even stronger after the detection of the Higgs boson. Even though the SM is the theory that better describes phenomena at the subatomic scale, there are experimental observations that point to the existence of physics beyond the standard model. The High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC), poised to start data-taking in 2036, will both continue the search for new physics, as well as improve the measurements of the properties of the SM particles, now including the Higgs boson. To be able to perform in the HL-LHC era, the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) collaboration will upgrade the detector, allowing it to profit from the increased data volumes. The goal of this project is to take part in the pre-installation integration and validation of the new CMS silicon tracker and to support the detector's operation before the shutdown for the upgrade.
