Abstract The use of contact lenses is widely adopted for both visual correction and therapeutic purposes. However, improper handling can lead to serious ocular complications, including infections and corneal injuries. This study aims to evaluate and compare the level of knowledge among undergraduate students from various academic programs regarding the use, hygiene, and necessary care to ensure the safety of contact lens wearers. This is a cross-sectional study conducted through structured questionnaires. Data analysis will identify gaps in education and underscore the need for enhanced ophthalmologic training in undergraduate curricula. The findings are expected to raise awareness among future healthcare professionals about the importance of providing accurate patient guidance, thereby reducing risks and promoting safe practices in contact lens use. | |
