Abstract

Soybeans (Glycine max), the main agricultural commodity in Brazil, have wide application in human and animal nutrition and in the production of biofuels. Despite its economic relevance, its cultivation is associated with environmental impacts, especially in the Cerrado and the Amazon biomes. In view of the growing demands for sustainability and traceability, this project aims to train the fellow in the elemental characterization of soybean samples by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), for identification of geographical origin through chemical profiles. The data will be treated with chemometric techniques and machine learning models, contributing to blockchain-based traceability systems and the sustainable certification of Brazilian soybeans. (AU)
