Abstract

This undergraduate research project makes an overture of studying the representation of popular festivals and racial mixture in different titles of the paulistan modernist movement between 1922 and 1940. The primary objective of this interdisciplinary research is to understand how these social events have reached privileged visibility in discussions concerning national identity within literature, magazines, and arts created in São Paulo City during this period.(AU)
