Abstract

The region of study situates at Espírito Santo State, in East Brasilian mergin, inserted into the geological context of the Mantiqueira Province. It includes three different geotectonic domains: Araçuaí Orogen at West domain, Serra do Mar Microplate in the central portion and the Barreiras Group at East Domain. Created during the tectonic period related to Atlantic Ocean break, initiated around 144 millions years ago (Asmus, 1972).
