Abstract

The Brazilian legislation requires the structural fire design. The structural fire engineering demands deep knowledge of structural engineering at room temperature. A slab fire design method, including the membrane effect, has had good repercussion among the international researchers. This research in level of Scientific Initiation aims to supply the theoretical base on the behavior of the slab at ambient temperature, for the next research including the thermal action. It is intended to study all techniques to design a reinforced concrete slab, since the simple model of grating until the membrane effects, regarding the models on based of the theory of the elasticity, plastic hinges and finite elements.
