Abstract

Constructed Wetlands are a promissory alternative to the traditional effluents treatment systems, because they act like filters, drawing back from water the pollution by natural processes. On this kind of system, the water treatment occurs trough the physical, chemical and biological interactions, which succeed because of the substrate, bacterial and aquatic plants presence. As advantages of the use of this system, we can mention its low implantation coast, low environmental impact and few necessity of maintaining. Employed nowadays in industrial and commercial plants, constructed wetlands projects are usually not associated with a landscaping proposal that can link the environmental issues with the landscape. So that, the present work objectives the elaboration of a wastewater treatment model project for a single-family residence (5 inhabitants) in the city of Bauru, using the constructed wetland system, and considering the esthetics and functional aspects of the project, searching for the most adequate landscape proposal for a habitation. This work also aims to raise data referring to the conditions for the system implantation in the municipality and the economic feasibility study of the elaborated project.
