Abstract

This Project is aimed to study: 1) Electron transport through a quantum dot with few electrons localized inside and the effects of Exchange and inelástica scattering; 2) Spin-orbit coupling effects on electron transport in one-dimensional channel coupled to few electron quantum dots; and 3) Ground state configurations in coupled quantum rings in magnetic fields within the current-spin density functional theory.
