Abstract

In this project, the study of crystalline materials that present magnetoelectric multiferroic properties is proposed. This property is characterised by the coupling of ferroelectricity with (anti)ferromagnetism. We intend to study the origin of this coupling using Raman spectroscopy with external magnetic field in a series of lithium orthophosphates samples. These materials show ferroelectricity under an external applied magnetic field, leading to a significant magnetoelectric coupling.
