Abstract

This proposal aims the specification and implementation of a tool for performance prediction of parallel programs based on the simulation of their execution graph. The work involves solving problems concerned to how to convert binary code to execution flow graph, simulation of parallel environments modelled by its characteristics specifications, and the definition of performance metrics that are of interest for parallel programs analysis. In adition investigation will be made towards the procedures to convert other processors code to graphs and how to transform formal specifications into execution graphs.
