Abstract

Several works published in the specialized literature mention the pharmaceutical presence in such environmental head offices as water, soil and sediments, which are potentially harmful to the human health and of animals of terrestrial and aquatic life. Some tons of medications are produced a year and applied in the human and veterinary medicine. Generally, the exact production is not published in the literature. Studies demonstrate that those pharmaceutical and its metabólitos are present in the atmosphere in several parts of the world, as Germany 3, 4,6,9,11,17, Brazil 1,3, Canada 3,20, Holland 12, England 13, Italy 12,14, Sweden 15,19,36, United States 9 and United Kingdom 37, and the great majority of the works is about the detection of these composed in aquatic atmospheres. After the administration, humans in the domestic sewer excrete a significant part of the pharmaceutical. Studies demonstrate that several of those substances they seem to be persistent in the atmosphere and they are not completely removed in ETEs 1-3. Being like this, many residual pharmaceutical resists to several processes of conventional treatment of water. In everybody, pharmaceutical, such as, antibiotics 4,7-9, hormones 2,10-14, anesthetics, 2,6,15, antilipemic 1,2,6, contrast means of ray-X 16-18, anti-inflammatory 1,2,20-22 between other, was detected in the domestic sewer, in superficial waters and of underground. A study of the pharmaceutical biodegradação in soil makes himself necessary since this environmental head office receives great amount of coming water of rivers contaminated with these daily composed.
