Abstract

Microsatellite markers developed to Podocnemis expansa and Emydura sp will be tested for amplification efficiency and polimorphism in Phrynops geoffroanus. The blood samples of Phrynops geoffroanus will be taken by captured individuals in Piracicaba river and Ribeirão Piracicamirim in Piracicaba, SP. The primers with positive amplification will be taken and used to be analysed for a population structure of the species.
