Abstract

This research project proposes a case study in order to verify the relationship between the distribution of luminance, architectural attributes and quality of lighting perceived by users in a particular built area. The justification for it is to contribute for the establishment of an evaluation method of lighting that takes into account parameters related to the perception of the environment. Will be used for the survey data, site visits, application of a questionnaire to users and preparation of maps of distribution of luminance from HDR images. The search for patterns of relations between variables will be raised with spreadsheet graphics. The case study will be conducted in the lounge of the headquarters of an civil association in Bauru (SP), chosen mainly because it is a place of voluntary permanence and the performed activities, in general of socialization, do not have important visual demands; thus, the perception of environment's parameters influences the assessment of its quality.
