Abstract

We will study the propagation of particles and waves in fractal networks, in particular the Sierpinski triangle. The "classical" dynamics consists of a Markov chain in which the particle which reaches a vertex may be scattered towards other vertices with different probabilities. The wave problem is defined by associating a unitary scattering matrix to each vertex. We shall study the dependence of several observables with the geometry of the network and an external magnetic field.
