Abstract

Hot stamping appears to be an excellent manufacturing process considering the challenge to reduce automobiles´ weight and as consequence, the fuel consumption. In addition, the proper choice of steels plates to be stamped is also very important to guarantee the quality of stamped components. In this study there will be hold several tests to evaluate the hot formability of high strength steel plates to define the best processing conditions to be used in hot stamping of these materials.
