Abstract This work intends to study the main models of electric energy markets in the world, focusing, mainly, the comparison between the different techniques used to establish prices for the electric energy.The main objective of the work is to find an adequate model to be evaluated in future applications in the Brazilian electrical system, since it has characteristics that can be considered unique (for example, the great territorial extension and the strong dependence of hydropower).The price calculation of the electric energy, defined by pool-systems or bilateral contracts, must be carried out looking for the competition in the generation and commercialization assuring the continuity, the supply quality of electric energy and, then, to reduce the price to the end consumer.The market models used in different countries will be simulated considering the Brazilian electrical systems particularities. It is intended to use the no-cooperative game theory to verify the existence of possible equilibriums (solutions that are the best possible for all participants of the market) and with this helping in the establishment of an efficient energy market. | |
