Abstract

The generation of text (Natural Language Generation, or NLG) from non-linguistic input plays a major role in a number of NLP applications such as machine translation, text summarization, natural language interfaces for the semantic web etc, although remains relatively unexplored by the Brazilian research community to date. As a first step towards the development of a full-scale NLG application, we propose an IC project focused on the first stage of a NLG architecture, namely, the Document Planning task based on (non-linguistic) domain data.
