Abstract

Radiographic evaluation has been used to analyse the patella alignment by the sulcus angle and the congruence angle to help Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome diagnostic. However, the evaluations are done manually what can generate inexact measures. The use of a specific software with an automatic condiles and femur sulcus recognizing functionality and of the patella posterior limit from radiographic image would assure the needed precision and would surpass the errors caused by manual measure. The present project consists in the development of this software to measure the angles and index calculus from radiographic images to help Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome diagnostic.
