Abstract

The objective of this research project is the development of a optimization model for individual hydro unit considering inflow stochasticity by multiproduct flow and the development of a DC Optimal Power Flow security restrictions. These contributions will be applied in planning and programming operation for hydrothermal systems, in particular for the Brazilian Power System. For this purpose efficient and robust interior-point methods will be developed by the exploration of the sparsity problem. The computacional performance will be verified in real and big Power Systems like Brazilian Power System.
