Abstract

This project intends to cooperate in the development of research of public perception of nanotechnology, a field in expansion at present , due to the growing importance given to the public debate on the promises, risks and uncertainties of technological innovations. To this end, a bibliographical revision will be made, to allow a theoretical deepening in this area and to carry out an examination of research carried out in other countries, to generate a field for discussion and research with international views. The first year of the project will be focused specifically on the study of perception of these new technologies in children, adolescents and young people. This work will have an exploratory character and will employ as instruments of research, interviews in depth, focal groups and questionnaires which will be analyzed through a qualitative focus. Research contemplates further comparisons with reality of other countries within the frame of contributions established by the research group into which this work endeavours to be incorporated. (AU)
