Abstract

The chronic low back pain can generate a deficit in the life quality, which commits the daily activities, the work, the social life, the leisure and it causes emotional damages. However, for treating about a complex individual and subjective perceptual experience, to measure and to evaluate the pain is still a great challenge for the nursing team. This way, the patient's appropriate clinical judgement with chronic pain, with the identification of related factors and defining characteristics that can vary of person for person, allows the individual care. Objective: accomplishes the conceptual analysis of the nursing diagnosis of NANDA "Chronic pain", considering the patient's context with chronic low back pain, through the integrative review, to identify which related factors and defining characteristics of the nursing diagnosis of NANDA "Chronic pain" are present in the patients with chronic low back pain and to identify among those same patients the existence of other possible related factors and defining characteristics. Method: 1)Integrative review of the literature: six stages: Identification of the guiding question, data collection, selection and search for articles; Categorization of studies, data analysis, interpretation of results and Synthesis of Knowledge. 2)Survey from patients with chronic low back pain in order to observe which are the defining characteristics and related factors possible to find in this sample, besides testing the results of a literature review by comparing the results with clinical. The results obtained from a literature review and analysis of clinical data will be compared to that one conclusion is made, so that one complements the other result.
