Abstract

Because to the increasing demand for alternative energy types the ethanol comes from sugar cane (Saccharum spp) has gained prominence in Brazil for its culture and tradition in the vast territorial extension, where part of this production has been expanding in northwest Sao Paulo state. It has high temperatures and originally typical Savannah vegetation, the program of fertilization, cultural treatments and correct choice varieties become a crucial factor in the deployment of sugarcane in order to determine the production environment. Faced with the shortage in the literature on the Alfisol the northwestern Sao Paulo state and with the expansion of sugar cane reaching this region, it is necessary to generate information for obtaining good yields while maintaining the soil sustainability. In this sense is proposing to carry out a study aiming to make the survey and taxonomic classification of soils technique of Santa Rosa farm, in the municipality of Suzanápolis, located in the northwestern Sao Paulo state. Will be held a semi-detailed soil survey on the scale of 1:25.000 and classification technique proposing five environments of production. Planialtimétricos maps will be generated, the slope class, soil and the classification technique to typify map the production environment for the cultivation of sugar cane. For technique classification will be taken into consideration edaphoclimates. Index terms: Saccharum spp; soil classification for production environments; capacity utilization; Alfisol; Oxisol.
