Abstract

The changes at the civil construction industry such as the beginning of the National Defense Code of the consumers and a financial stability of the country forced the construction company to seek ways to adequate them to keep their place at the actual market. The competition between the companies became more aggressive taking the companies to think about their building production methods. It was necessary to improve the quality of the whole process. Among the quality improvement’s process of the building, one of the areas is the construction pathologies. The study of the cracks that happened at the Project, design, execution and maintance, feedbacks the process, improving their qualities. The construction cracks are so old as the oldest buildings builded by the men. The Hydraulic and Sanitary plumbing systems (cold and hot water, sanitary sewage, storm water and fire combat) show high pathologies index. The research area of pathology at the hydraulic and sanitary plumbing system is being developed at the Master Program of Civil Construction of DECiv. To that, the Civil engineer Alessandro Pucci da Conceição, regular student of this program is developing a research in a construction company of the City of São Carlos. The solicitation of two scholarships to two undergraduate students of Civil Engineer Major has the goal to introduce both one at the area of research, linking their researches to one is being done at the master program. The student will formulate characterization and observation cards and questionaries as well as visits and interviews to the building users that are being researched. (AU)
