Abstract

This project aims to assess the logistics performance of Brazil in international market and to analyze what are the most important logistics performance indicators in order to determine the countries position. It will be use international trade databases such as Aliceweb System developed by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade and International Statistics of the Statistical Division of the United Nations - UNSD. It will also be used indicators of Logistics Performance Index developed by the Departments of Transportation and International Trade of World Bank. Basic statistical techniques such as frequency tables and graphical analysis and multivariate analysis techniques such as cluster analysis and multiple comparison tests of means will be applied to analyze the data. It is expected the results encourage further discussions on logistics and trade facilitation and contribute to the development of good logistics practices from private agents and the implementation of government policies.
