Abstract

The purpose of this study is to portray that the permanent exposition in modern democracies, the transparency of actions of power and of individual behaviors-- particularly thought mass media and the net society-- are the scenery of the generalized secret: the universalization on the fetishism phenomenon and the indetermination of the reality principle. With Walter Benjamin and Guy Debord we will show the transformations of the ideas of public space, private sphere and intimacy in the sense which the contemporaneous capitalism is the permanent construction of new borders between the manifest and the hidden, and also that the dominance of the extra-judiciary liberty of the State and the consequent social insecurity result in paranoic and obsessive conditions in the modern world where " the truth is a moment of the false".
