Abstract

In 2003, during the exhibition "China - Os Guerreiros de Xi'an e os tesouros da Cidade Perdida" held at the Parque do Ibirapuera, São Paulo, I had the opportunity to participate in the collective exhibition "Sombras chinesas", that gathered together three generations of artists. The works were inspired in contemporary view on these ancients terracotta warriors. In Fuping, Xi'an, China, I will work in a Project aiming to revisit the aesthetical experience held in 2003 further in details, given that the physical and cultural environment in China are more suitable for this specific artistic work. The Chinese counterpart will offer a working place in a factory with all the required infra-structure and several archeological sites will be participating, including the terracotta warriors one. This unique experience has the potential to contribute to my poetical work and to my educational and research. On other hand, I am positive it is an opportunity to prove the vitality of the Brazilian ceramic production. (AU)
