Abstract

The use of phase-controlled femtosecond IR pulses enables the full measurement of 2D vibrational spectra. These measurements are the direct IR analogues of the multidimensional spectra measured in NMR experiments including multiple quantum transitions. The Fourier transformed 2D-IR spectra provide information on couplings between modes and hence on peptide structure. These new methods are showing to be very promise for elucidating the dynamics of structures in biomolecule. (AU)
