Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Campus de Guaratinguetá. Faculdade de Engenharia (FEG) (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Brazil
Currently, I am a Senior Research and Development Analyst at Síntegra Surgical Sciences, a company specializing in biomedical devices. Simultaneously, I am conducting a postdoctoral fellowship at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, UNESP Guaratinguetá Campus, with a Fundunesp scholarship (2022-2023), funded by project 3230/2022, in partnership with Síntegra Surgical Sciences. I hold a Ph.D. (2021) and a Masters degree (2017) in Mechanical Engineering from UNESP, specializing in Materials and Manufacturing Processes, with research focused on the development of new materials and improvement of techniques for biomedical applications. During my graduate studies, I was a CAPES fellow, working on the processing and characterization of titanium alloys, with an emphasis on Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP) and surface modification techniques. I also hold a Bachelors degree in Materials Engineering (2015) from the same institution. During my undergraduate studies, I was a FAPESP fellow (2010/17763-9), conducting research on polymeric composites reinforced with natural fibers. I interned at the Biopolymers and Electrospinning Laboratory at UNICAMP, working on the electrospinning processing and characterization of PCL and fibroin nanofibers. In higher education, I have taught courses in the Teaching Improvement and Support Program (PAADES), lecturing in the Mechanical Engineering program (Mechanical Properties of Metallic Materials) and the Materials Engineering program (Industrial Chemistry, Laboratory of Metallic Materials Processing, Natural Materials and Biomaterials, and Materials Recycling). I am a member of the Research Group on Processing and Functionalization of Materials for Biomedical Applications, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Ana Paula Rosifini Alves Claro, collaborating with national and international research institutions. My main areas of interest include processing and characterization of metallic and natural materials, surface modification and functionalization techniques, and mechanical and structural characterization.
