Paulo Roberto Pereira Santiago has a diverse educational background, with degrees in Physical Education (2002) from the São Paulo State University (UNESP - Rio Claro) and Computer Engineering from the Virtual University of São Paulo-UNIVESP (2023). He completed his Master's (2005) and Ph.D. (2009) in Movement Sciences at UNESP - Rio Claro, and achieved a Habilitation in Biomechanics at the University of São Paulo (USP - Ribeirão Preto) in 2016. His professional experience includes six years as a columnist for Rádio USP, where he covered the topic 'Science and Sports' between 2017 and 2022.He currently holds the position of Associate Professor (MS5 level 3 in RDIDP) at the School of Physical Education and Sports of Ribeirão Preto (EEFERP-USP), teaching in programs at EEFERP-USP and in the Biomedical Informatics course at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School (IBm-FMRP-USP). Additionally, he is a permanent advisor in the Graduate Program in Rehabilitation and Functional Performance at FMRP-USP. Currently, he is a Senior Visiting Professor Abroad (PVEJS) at the University of North Florida (UNF) - USA, as per the Notice No. 24/2023 of PrInt USP/CAPES. His work focuses on the areas of Biomechanics and Computer Engineering, with a particular interest in applications for sports and physical exercise. He is recognized for his expertise in computer programming for research development in football and biomechanics. Beyond his academic career, Paulo has a strong interest in OpenSource computing, particularly in Linux Systems and computer programming, applying this knowledge in solving real-world problems and in data science in sports and health.
