PhD and Master's degree in Applied Physics from the São Carlos Physics Institute of University of São Paulo USP.. Full degree in Electronic Engineering and a full degree in Aeronautical Mechanical Engineering, with specialization in fine mechanics, all earned at the São Carlos School of Engineering at University of São Paulo USP. MBA in Agrobusiness at Luiz de Queiroz School of Agriculture of University of São Paulo. Specialized in Optics, Laser and Systems, has more than 35 years of experience in the optronics products for applications in the areas of medical ophthalmic, industrial, defense and space. Member of the Board of Directors of OPTO Eletronica S/A, from October 2019 up to today. In charge for strategic planning and technological development of the group. He was Director of Research and Development at OPTO Space & Defense, former division of OPTO Eletrônica S/A, acquired by Grupo Akaer Engenharia S/A, from January 2017 to October 2019. He was Director of Research and Development at OPTO Eletronica S/A , from 1986 to December 2016. He was the program director and technical responsible for the MUX and WFI OMB cameras projects for the CBERS 3&4 and 4B satellite program, and the AWFI camera for the PMM Amazônia I program, all for the INPE Brazilian National Space Institute. Managed the development team of cameras, test equipment and programs of the corresponding space qualifications, as well as the implementation of all necessary laboratory infrastructure. CBERS 4 and 4B are now operating in orbit successfully since December 2014. Recently, until 2019, led the development of a specialized camera family for CubeSats. He also directed the division that worked on the optronic projects of several Brazilian strategic defense programs, especially with the FAB client, including the IRSA of the A-Darter missile, where he led a team that worked with the Denel Dynamics in South Africa. Also in the defense area, he carried out the projects of optronic subsystems for Brazilian Air Force missiles such as MAA-1A, MAA-1B and MAR, and the laser guidance systems for the MSS1.2 system for the Brazilian Army CTEx. He also carried out the designs of the OLHAR and EITMSS thermal cameras for the Brazilian Army, and more recently the SUV, modular multispectral vision system for armored vehicles. Directed the development team of ophthalmic medical instruments and products, among them laser DPSS for Retina , green models (Hyalus 532nm) yellow (Mitra 586nm) infra red ( FTC 820nm) , and Cross Linking Xlink, (360nm) for corneal treatments, Fundus cameras ADS 4.0 and Kiron 30M, and a family of surgical microscopes NOVUS, DMPro, and all its line of acessories and associated devices. All medical products have been fully certified by ANVISA and INMETRO. Nowadays develop solutions for applied remote sensing solutions for agriculture, as well optronics sensor.
