Mr Muza received his MS in 2005 and his PhD in 2009 from the University of Sao Paulo in Atmospheric Sciences. His works involved improvement the understanding of the climate variability of summer monsoon on the South America and their relationship with impacts on the vegetation from Brazilian Savanna. He did a Postdoctoral Research Associate for Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center - ESSIC at University of Maryland on-site at the Goddard Space Flight Center in the Hydrological Science Branch. He have focused the land-surface dynamics of the Amazon region to the global and regional climates, including water, heat and carbon exchanges between land and atmosphere into the Large-Scale Biosphere-Atmosphere Experiment in Amazonia - Data-Model Intercomparison Project. Nowadays, he is professor in Federal Institute of Santa Catarina, Brazil. His current research is climate variability and extreme events in the America. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
