Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT-1982) (Cambridge, USA). Master in Physics of the Condensed Matter from the University of São Paulo (USP-1977) and a bachelor's degree in Physics from the same university, campus of São Paulo (IFUSP-1971). He is currently a professor (guest) at the University of São Paulo and a researcher at the Brazilian Nuclear Energy Commission (Ipen-Cnen). He has experience in several areas of Engineering (Automotive, Structures, Materials, Mechanics, Nuclear and others) with emphasis on the Mechanical Properties of Solid, Elastic and Plastic Bodies, working mainly on the following topics: fatigue and fracture mechanics, micro and nanostructural analysis and mechanical properties of materials (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
