Cesar Manuel Remuzgo Ruiz

He has a B. Sc degree in Biology by National University Federico Villarreal (1998) in Peru and M. Sc. (2003) and Ph. D. (2009) degree in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry) by University of Sao Paulo. Post Doctorate at Butantan Institute (2009-2015) and post doctorate in Department of Physiology from University of Lausanne, Switzerland (2015). He has experience in Biochemistry area with focus in Peptide chemistry acting in the following topics: Solid phase peptide synthesis, antimicrobial peptides, opioid and cannabinoid peptides, structure-activity relationship studies of antinociceptive peptides and in applications of synthetic peptide in general. He has experience in Cell Biology in the preparation of cultures of sensory neurons from dorsal root ganglia of rats, cultures of rat peritoneal macrophages and aggregating embryonic brain cell cultures (mini-brains, 3D cultures). Also, he has experience in design of peptide drugs by determining peptide and protein structures via analysis of its secondary structures by circular dichroism, infrared and Raman spectroscopies, and construction of homology molecular models, molecular docking and molecular dynamic.
