Solival Silva e Menezes

Professor Solival Menezes holds a PhD in Economics from USP Universidade de São Paulo and has simultaneously attended three academic master's degrees and three undergraduate courses. He holds a Master's in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV / EAESP School of Business Administration in São Paulo), specializing in Finance and Strategy; a Master's in Economics from USP, specializing in Macroeconomics, Financial Economics and Microeconomics; and a Master's in Controllership and Accounting by USP, with an emphasis on the relationship between Accounting, Finance and Economics (including Public Finance and Actuarial Sciences). He holds a degree in Economics from USP, a degree in Public Administration from FGV/EAESP and a law degree from USP (USP's Faculty of Law at Largo de São Francisco), having been a Lawyer with registration at the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil) since 1989. He also has professional records in the Regional and National Councils as an Economist (CORECON-SP), as a Business Administrator (CRA/SP), as a Real Estate Agent (CRECI-SP and CRECI-RJ) and as an Insurance Broker (SUSEP Private Insurance Superintendence). Dedicated student, he was always among the first among his peers, and, immediately after completing his undergraduate courses in Economics (USP) and in Administration (FGV/EAESP), he was hired, in public tender, as a Professor Researcher of Economics, Business Administration (especially Finance, Marketing and Strategy), Law and Accounting, by USP Universidade de São Paulo, to teach at USP's Polytechnic School (Production Engineering Department) and at the USP's School of Engineering on the São Carlos campus (Mechanical Production Engineering Department). An accomplished educator, with a demonstrated ability to teach and motivate his students, he has been a recognized teacher in the institutions where does he teach, in Brazil and abroad, and has always been well evaluated and honored by his students. Self-motivated, with competence in planning, organization and leadership, he has completed 30 years of experience in higher and corporate education. Such performance also gave him the opportunity to start a successful career yet early as a Consultant in Economics and Business and Public Policy and as a financial advisor. He has been working as a consultant and educator for governments, business leaders and companies of great significance in Brazil, Latin America, Africa, Europe and the USA and Canada for over 20 years. He currently works for SoliConsulting International and is dedicated, in addition to consultancy activities and academic and research activities, to guide master's and doctoral students from different educational institutions, being also a "coach" for business leaders, successors, politicians and government executives, also giving lectures and conferences in institutions in different parts of the world.
