Pedro Luiz de Oliveira Costa Neto

He holds a bachelor degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the ITA Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (1962), a master's degree in Production Engineering from the Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo (1969), Master of Science by Leland Stanford Junior University, California, USA (1975), and doctorate in Production Engineering from the Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo (1980). He is currently retired professor of the Escola Politécnica of and full professor at the Paulista University, in the Graduate Program in Production Engineering (MSc and PhD). Main areas of interest: Quality and Productivity Management, Probability and Statistics, Decision Making Processes, Knowledge and Learning, Distance Education and Communication. He was Director of Data Processing at SEADE Foundation Data Analysis State System, President of ABEPRO - Production Engineering Brazilian Association, President of Carlos Alberto Vanzolini Foundation and President of CXEB Brazilian Correspondence Chess Club. Winer of Banas Academic of Quality Award in 1999. Judge of the National Quality Award from 1992 to 2012 (except 2003). Judge of the São Paulo State Quality of Management Award from 2001 to 2012.
