Graduated in Economic Sciences (1985), Master in Economics (1998) and PhD in Political Science (2003) from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. Is currently a professor at the Department of Economics at PUCSP and Coordinator of the Graduate Program (strictu sensu) in Political Economy at the same institution. Is former Director of the IIPPE (International Initiative for Promoting Political Economy), is the coordinator of World Economy Working Group of IIPPE, former president of ANGE (National Association of Undergraduate Courses in Economic Sciences), former vice president of SEP (Brazilian Society of Political Economy). Has experience in the area of Economics, with an emphasis on Economic Theory, acting mainly on the following themes: economic development, macroeconomics and economic conjuncture, political economy.
