Bernardino Geraldo Alves Souto

Bernardino Geraldo Alves Souto is a general practitioner from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, MG. He has a specialist degree in Intensive Care Medicine, Clinical Medicine/Internal Medicine and in Epidemiology in Health Services. Master and Doctor in Medicine (Tropical Medicine). Post-doctorate in Microbiology and Infection from the University of Minho (Portugal). At the Federal University of São Carlos, he is a Full Professor in the Medicine Course, leader of the Applied Clinical and Epidemiological Research Group in Health Sciences and professor in the Postgraduate Program in Clinical Management. At the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal), he participates in the Pathogen Evolutionary Genomics and Experimental Genetics (PEvoGEn) Research group of the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute.
