He is Adm. of FUNDAG 2019-25, Deputy Financial Director of the Brazilian Society of Genetic Resources 2019-22, Substitute Editor-in-Chief of the virtual magazine RG News 16-22, Editorial Advisor of the Brazilian Network of Botanical Gardens 2019-22 and Scientific and Publicity Director of the Network Southeast of RG (2018-22). Professionally, he worked in activities related to Phytogenetic Resources. Graduated Eng.Agr. FAZMACG - Esp. St. do Pinhal - SP (1978), Me (1990) and Dr (1994) in Biological Sciences - Botany UNESP/Botucatu - SP. He exercised his professional life and retired at the Instituto Agronômico de Campinas (1980-2015). He chaired and created the National Symposia on Genetic Resources and the Latin American (SIRGEALC) as well as the (Latin American) Specialists in Arachis spp. and the National Workshop on Environmental Education in Agriculture, as well as the National Workshop of Germplasm Curators - in conjunction with Embrapa. He was the Coordinator of the National Germplasm Curatorship System (2011-14). Received the Diploma of Professional Recognition by Embrapa (2010), the Dalmo Cataule Giacometti Award, also by Embrapa, for works with RG (2011), received the Frans W. Daffert award delivered by the IAC (2012) was honored with his name in a new peanut species Arachis veigae (2013), was honored (2015) at the X-SIRGEALC and at the V National Congress of RG (2018), for the services provided in RG. He taught classes in the Introduction Course to the Management of Plant Genetic Resources online by INFOBIBOS (2013-2019). He was National Coordinator of Genetic Resources (IICA / PROCISUR) appointed by Embrapa (1996-2000). He created and was the President of the NGO Amigos do Jardim Botânico IAC (2005-06). He was Vice President (2x), Fiscal Councilor and Treasurer of the Brazilian Network of Botanical Gardens 1998-2013. In 1997, he stayed 30 days at ICRISAT-India, invited as a consultant for Arachis spp. At IAC he obtained funds for Genetic Resources and Plant Quarantine projects from FINEP, FAPESP, CNPq, BASF and EMBRAPA (OEPAS), AGCO. He was the Legal Representative of the IAC with the RNC and SNPC / MAPA (2007-12). He was a postgraduate professor at the IAC, creating and teaching the subject of Introduction to Genetic Resources (1999-2001), continuing as a Collaborating Professor until today, he supervised two master's dissertations (2005-08) in the course of Genetics, Plant Breeding and Biotechnology. Received Visiting Researchers, Dr. V. Ramanatha Rao, from Icrisat - India, for a month in 1987, and for CNPq/Twas, the rector of the University of Ilê-Ifé in Nigeria, Dr. Israel Olojide Obisesan, on four occasions (2006-10). He was the Coordinator of the IAC Plant Introduction and Quarantine System (1988-2000), activities that he developed for 32 uninterrupted years, having been a Consultant to the Lab. Quarantine at Singenta (Aracati-1998) and SGO (Piracicaba-2017). At IAC he was Director of the Genetic Resources Center and Botanical Garden (1998-2003), Director of the IAC Botanical Garden RD Nucleus (2004-12), and of the Central Experimental Center (2012-2013). He was the IAC's titular representative at CONDEMA, CONDEPACC and at Mata Santa Geneva (First Secretary). He created and was the chairman of the IAC (1999-2011) and APTA (2009-12) Curatorship Commissions, as well as the Plant Quarantine and Exchange Commission. He was the President of the Agronomic Institute Servers Association (2009-13). He has published 116 articles in specialized journals, 23 dissemination articles, editor of 7 annals in events, editor of an RFG book and 26 chapters in others, 58 abstracts in annals of events, and has more than 260 mentions in scientific papers. He participated in 15 events abroad and 158 in Brazil.
