Bachelor Degree in Economics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1990), Master Degree in Economics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1997), PhD in Economic Sciences from the State University of Campinas - Unicamp(2001), Visiting Scholar at the Levy Economics Institute , Bard College (2015) and Full Professor at the Institute of Economics of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp - 2018). She is currently an Associate Professor at the Institute of Economics at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) and Associate Editor of the Review of Political Economy (ROPE). She served as Executive Director of the Center for International Economic Relations (CERI), Research Coordinator, Undergraduate Coordinator and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Economic Sciences and General Coordinator of the Graduate Program at the Institute of Economics - Unicamp. She has experience in the area of Economics, with an emphasis on Macroeconomics, Monetary and Financial Economics and Political Economy, acting mainly on the following themes: modern money theory, criticism of neoliberalism, financial systems; financial fragility and instability (crises), regional financial integration; regulation of banking systems; public banks and development finance.
