Marcos Vinicius Francisco graduated in Physical Education at UNESP, campus of Presidente Prudente-SP. Master and Doctor (funded by FAPESP) in Education by the same institution. He completed a Sandwich Doctorate (funded by CAPES) at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid in Spain and completed a Post-Doctorate in Education (funded by CAPES) at the University of Oeste Paulista (Unoeste). He is currently a permanent professor and coordinator of the Graduate Program in Education at Unoeste; professor at Maringá State University, Vale do Ivaí Regional Campus (UEM / CRV) and the Graduate Program in Education (PPE/Maringá). Editor of the Colloquium Humanarum Scientific Journal. Leader of the Research Group: State, Educational Policies and Democracy (EPED) and Coordinator of the Red Latinoamericana of studies on school education, violence and social inequality (RESVIDES). His studies and research have an emphasis on: school bullying; school violence; educational policies; populations exposed to social inequality and school physical education (critical-overcoming teaching methodology), based on the theoretical frameworks of historical-critical pedagogy and historical-cultural psychology (epistemological basis and historical-dialectical materialism).
