Luis Carlos Oña Magalhães

Graduated in 1996 at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho as a Veterinarian. Luis is a certified overseas teacher of english as a foreign language by the University of Cambridge(2000)(ICELT, former COTE), and he is also an interpreter graduated at Pontifícia Universidade Católica (2000) and a hotel manager graduated at SENAC São Paulo (2006). He achieve his Master's degree (2010) and Doctoral degree (2013) in Animal Reproduction at Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho.He is an oral examiner for the University of Cambridge (U.K) since 1999 (for YLEs/KET/PET/FCE/CAE/CPE) and has ample knowledge and experience concerning English Language Teaching (ELT). He took part in a project that aimed at language teaching improvement named COGESP (organized by PUC - Cultura Inglesa SP). Apart from that, he gathered loads of techniques related to acrobatic gymnastics and for that he was invited to be the Director of International Relations for the LINDAGG (Brazilian National League for Acrobatic Gimnastics) (from 2001 until 2005). As an acrobatic gymnast he conquered the title of world champion in 2002 in Kurgan, Russia.He was a translator for www.mongabay.com.(from July, 2008 until December,2009). Placed 4th in the civil service examination for UFG professor (2013).He was the Pedagogical coordinator at Instituto da Língua Inglesa (Cuiabá-MT) in 2014 and taught at Colégio Notre Dame de Lourdes and Red Balloon. He was also a professor at UFMT Languages Institute, Cuiabá Campus. He was placed 1st in the civil service examination for UFMT professor (2016) - Parasitology and Microbiology (UFMT - Cuiabá). He was also certified as an acrobatic gymnastics coach by the Panamerican Gymnastics Union in 2020.At the moment he teaches years 9, 10 and 11 at Colégio Ibero Americano and is a regular student at the Post Graduation Course of Freemasonry Studies of Faculdade Garça Branca Crepaldi, and at the Business Administration Course at UFMT- Cuiabá.
