I am a biologist, manager/leader, and educator at the Museum of Biological Diversity (MDBio) at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). I work primarily with the curation and management of scientific collections of animal sounds (Fonoteca Neotropical Jacques Vielliard FNJV), videos, photos, and vertebrate specimens. I hold both a bachelor's and a teaching degree in Biological Sciences from UNICAMP, as well as a masters degree in Ecology from the same university.My experience spans audiovisual collections, acoustic monitoring, bioacoustics, animal communication, and population and community ecology. I also design and lead educational activities connected to the museums permanent and traveling exhibitions.In addition, I coordinate the Bioacoustics group of the Brazilian Team one of the teams that participated in the international XPRIZE Rainforest competition and placed third overall. Our group focuses on developing solutions for sampling, analyzing, and identifying animal sounds in tropical forests, using tools from robotics and artificial intelligence.Im passionate about observing nature and wildlife in their natural habitats.
