Professor at the Federal University of Southern Bahia (UFSB), working with the Bachelor's Degrees in Journalism and Anthropology and the Interdisciplinary Bachelor's Degrees in Arts and Humanities. Holds a PhD and Master's Degree in Social Anthropology from FFLCH-USP, with research related to Indigenous Ethnology and a degree in Journalism from ECA-USP. From 2010 to 2011, he completed a research internship at the Institute of Anthropological Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Unam). In 2023, he completed postdoctoral research with support from the Wenner-Gren Foundation. He is also a researcher at the Center for Amerindian Studies (Cesta-USP). As an anthropologist, he has experience as a consultant for public agencies, civil society entities, and cultural and artistic projects. Leader of the research group Communities and Autonomy in southern Bahia. Currently, he researches social movements linked to Agroecology and Popular Education and discusses topics such as community autonomy, political ecology and epistemic decolonization. He works with the Postgraduate Programs in Science and Sustainability (PPGCS) and Arts (PPGArtes), both at UFSB. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
