Graduated in Social Sciences from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP - (1992), Master's in Social Anthropology from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP - (1994), Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP - (2006), and postdoctoral studies in Public Health from the University of São Paulo - USP and ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon - IUL, Portugal, in 2011 and 2012. Currently, he is an associate professor at the State University of Roraima - UERR, and an anthropologist researcher at the State Foundation for the Environment and Water Resources, FEMARH, in Roraima. He has experience in the field of Anthropology, with an emphasis on Urban Anthropology, Afro-Brazilian Populations, Anthropology of socio-magical healing practices, and studies on violence and environmental conflicts.
