Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences by Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) and Masters degree in Science by the Entomology Grad School at the University of São Paulo (USP). Has academic experience in Zoology, with emphasis on Taxonomy of Recent Groups, working mainly on the following topics: Diptera, Ephydroidea, Drosophilidae, Taxonomy, Systematics, Morphology and Biology.
