Mechanical Production Engineer (Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)), from the Methodist University of Piracicaba (UNIMEP) (period: 06/1987 to 12/1991), Master in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) (1994 to 1996 - CAPES Global Concept of the Master's Degree A = 5 / maximum concept in 1996) and Doctor (PhD Degree in Engineering/Applied Sciences) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC) (2000 to 2004 Concept - CAPES 5). At the University of Araraquara (UNIARA) he worked as a University Professor for fourteen years in the undergraduate courses: Mechanical Production Engineering, Economics and Administration (period: 02/1997 to 01/2011). At UNIARA, in addition to teaching, he held the following positions: Academic management: Coordinator of the undergraduate course in Administration (from February 1998 to September 2004), assistant coordinator of the undergraduate course in Mechanical Production Engineering (from February 2008 to May 2009), coordinator of the undergraduate course in Mechanical Production Engineering (from June 2009 to January 2011) and coordinator of the MBA postgraduate courses: Strategic Management of Production and Operations and Strategic Management of Production and Operations in Company at LUPO S/A (from February 2004 to December 2008). At the University of Araraquara (UNIARA) he coordinated the preparation of the proposal for the Professional Master's Degree in Production Engineering project submitted to CAPES in March 2008, approved in September 2008. He worked as coordinator of the Professional Master's Program in Production Engineering (period: 02/2008 to 01/2011). In the Professional Master's Program in Production Engineering (CAPES Concept 4), he coordinated as a researcher of the Permanent Faculty the research project: Information Technologies for the integration of manufacturing, with emphasis on production programming of the National Postdoctoral Program (PNPD/2009 MEC/CAPES and MCT/FINEP Notice) with the support of the University of São Paulo (USP)/São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC) (Supervisor of Postdoctoral Student Fábio Ferraz Júnior). Currently, since 02/2011, he is an Assistant Professor MS3 at the University of São Paulo, assigned to the São Carlos School of Engineering (Department of Production Engineering (Professor of Industrial Engineering, University of São Paulo)), position 1096257, in a Full-Time Dedication Regime for Teaching and Research (Researcher and advisor of the postgraduate program in Production Engineering). At EESC, he served as President of the Institutional Projects Support Committee (API) from 2015 to 01/2019. He is an ad hoc reviewers/referees for the following international journals: International Journal of Production Research, Computers Industrial Engineering (CAIE) Engineering Management Journal (EMJ) - ASEM American Society for Engineering Management (Taylor Francis), IEEE Systems Journal and IEEE Latin America Transactions. As a Visiting Professor at the Department of Production Engineering at UNESP, Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, a department located at the university campus in Bauru, he is the area coordinator (Production Management) (2012 to present) and ad hoc reviewers/referees (2007 to present) of scientific articles at the Symposium on Production Engineering (SIMPEP). He is the Leader of the Research Group GEPMSSI - Study and Research Group on Modeling and Simulation of Industrial Systems.
