Tiago Branquinho Oliveira

Holds a Doctorate in Science, with an emphasis on natural and synthetic products, from FCFRP-USP. Part of their doctoral research was conducted at the Institut für Pharmazeutische Biologie und Phytochemie, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (WWU-Münster). They completed a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, specialising in drugs and medicines, at FF-UFG in 2009. They also hold an MBA in Business Management from FGV (2006) and a specialisation in Toxicology from UFG (2004). Their Pharmacy degree (2002), with a specialisation in Industry (2003), was awarded by UFG.They possess experience in quality management, process validation, teaching (higher and technical education), outreach, and research, specifically in the fields of cheminformatics, QSPR (Quantitative Structure-Property Relationships), and database development. They also have expertise in modelling and simulation.Currently, they are a Professor at the Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS) and the Secretary for the Sergipe Regional branch of SBQ (2024-2026 term). They served as Coordinator of the Chemistry Postgraduate Programme in 2025 and are currently the Director of Agitte (Innovation and Technology Transfer Agency of the Universidade Federal de Sergipe - UFS).They are proficient in techniques such as data mining, genetic algorithms, target-fishing in plant extracts (food and non-food), molecular descriptor calculation (0D, 2D, 3D, 4D, and 5D), artificial neural networks, and statistical validation.
