D. Bolfarine holds a BA in Portuguese/English languages (2006) and a a degree in Education (2008) from the University of São Paulo. She holds an MA (2011) and a PhD (2015) in linguistic and literary studies in English from the University of São Paulo, with a research period at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. She worked as a substitute teacher at the IFSP, São Paulo campus and completed a post-doctorate at the University of São Paulo in 2018. She is currently a researcher and vice-coordinator of the WB Yeats Chair of Irish Studies - FFLCH/USP and president of the Brazilian Association of Irish Studies (ABEI). Since 2017, she has been an adjunct professor on the English Language and Literatures course at the Federal University of Rondonópolis (UFR) and, since 2021, she has been a permanent professor on the Language Studies Postgraduate Programme (UFMT).
